NEW PATIENTS WELCOME
Wonford Green Surgery, Burnthouse Lane, Exeter EX2 6NF
If you are ill with a cough, fever or loss of taste/smell you should self-isolate for 10 days. Please use the 111 online coronavirus service to get advice and help for any breathing difficulties, if your condition worsens, for help with benefits or if you remain unwell after 7 days. Please only phone 111 if you cannot use the online service or it doesn’t address your concerns. Please do not visit the surgery, pharmacy, walk-in centre or hospital unless you are advised to.
If you are well but live with someone who is self-isolating due to illness, you will need to self-isolate for 10 days in case you become unwell yourself.
Testing can now be arranged online for adults and children of any age. You can stop self-isolating if you are ill but have a negative test, or if you are self-isolating because someone you live with is ill and they have a negative test.
The surgery remains open but in order to avoid spreading the virus we have changed to a telephone appointment system for the foreseeable future. Most appointments will be same-day-bookable, but we will keep a small number for advance booking. If you need to be seen your doctor may ask you to e-mail a photo, use a video call or come to the surgery, and if you have been asked to shield yourself, the doctor will visit you at home. Once all telephone appointments for the day have been booked you will be asked to phone back the next day unless your call is urgent.
If you are asked to attend the surgery, please cover your nose and mouth if at all possible to avoid spreading germs, even if you feel well.
Please consider downloading and using the NHS app on your phone as a convenient portal for the NHS111 service and for up to date health advice.
Please also consider using the “Help for my condition,” “I want general advice” or “I want administrative help” buttons on our homepage.
We would like to thank all our patients for adapting to the new service so well. If you are concerned about your health, please don’t be afraid to get in touch!
